Practice match Beaconsfield MARCH 2010
This picture is fictional. Mario kicking the winning goal is not....
The combined team was down 11 goals at quarter time but kicked eight goals in the second quarter. It came down to one kick which Mario sealed. Southern saints win by a goal.
O 35s – no match report to hand
Words from the coach.. (or stripper grinding)
A big thank you to all those who found their passports and managed the
Trip out to Cranbourne on the weekend it was a great success and a lot of fun
defined by Choco who suggested that Footy was an opportunity to get away
from the misses for the arvo.
It was a great opportunity to have a hit out, get those cobwebs out, and
See where we are at in regard to fitness. Some not as fit as others. The
Game was marred by violence caused by Joffa constantly headbutting the
Opposition’s elbows, and staging from Mario which resulted in a goal from
A free kick and a nomination by TV Week for a Logie. Great effort by Rod Harrop
(another first gamer for the club) that managed at one point to reach
The opposition ruckmans armpit in one of his frivilous attempts to beat the
neanderthol. He was ably assisted by Fitzy, who couldn't quite
reach that far. Well done to everyone who made an effort to get there and put up
with the ramblings of the new coach Stripper. Did anybody have any idea what
he was on about or more importantly what he is on. Special mention to the
11foot monster Simon who was obviously lost for no one would have driven
that far to watch a bunch of geriatrics and not play.
We only have 3 weeks to go before the first game and some of us will
definitely have pulled up sore, from nothing else other than the hours
spent behind the wheel getting to and from Cranbourne. A couple were seen
cramping up chasing some of the kids who broke into their cars and stole
their wallets. That will teach Billy Derham for driving his BMW out to
Cranbourne.
Make sure we look after those injuries and get some professional help -
Not that sort of massage Neill!
See you on the training track Wednesday night if not have a Happy
Easter.

FEES (from Billy Derham)
Subs are now due for the 2010 season. The committee has decided not to
increase the fees this year, despite a number of new costs associated
with the relocation to East Caulfield Reserve. There are around $6000 in
expenses just for affiliation, ground rental, and insurance. On top of
this we are acquiring new jumpers for the 2010 season.
Membership Fees for 2010 will be $100.00 for all members - Supers,
Masters, and Over 47's.
Payments of $10.00 /player per game, to cover umpires, trainers, tape,
etc., will remain unchanged.Payable on match day. However, for anyone who's subs are not paid by the first round, the match day payments will be $20.00 per game, until such time as your subs are paid in full.
Cash flow is all important to a club like ours, and your subs are
urgently needed to ensure continued smooth running of our operations.
Please help us in this regard by bringing payment (cash or cheque) to
training, or you can direct credit to the clubs bank account if that is
easier.
Cash / cheque / eftpos – email and we will send details.
We WILL be pestering those who are tardy!!!
